did not work in 2007, no other income, just received federal financial aid. however, after my financial aid paid my tuition, several thousand was left over. i used this amount for living expenses, books, etc. do i need to file a tax return? thanks.

    nope financial aid/scholarships are not a taxable income so you dont have to file a return.
