soloist with the company in 2003. Douthit grew up in St. Louis, where he trained at COCA and at Alexandra Ballet. He participated in COCAs pre-professional dance program and was a member of COCAs student dance company, COCAdance. He received a full scholarship to train at North Carolina School for the Arts and to attend summer programs with San Francisco Ballet, Joffrey Ballet School, and Arthur Mitchells Dance Theatre of Harlem.
