The Hispanic Scholarship Fund made it possible for a farmworker named, Alfredo Quiñones to become a brain surgeon who is now the Director of Brain Tumor Surgery at Johns Hopkins University.

When I first heard about Alfredo I cried because I know full well what it feels like waking up in the morning and not having food on the table and family members telling me that ill never be anything in life.
